That's very common.

Mere knowledge without virtue is worse than ignorance.

I've had to put up with a number of those types over the years myself, and everybody must struggle with similar passions within yourself on a daily basis.

By dedicating yourself to purification (kala), you do not attract those energies, keeping focused on 'I'o-tumu ... the very highest perspective ... you become more and more pure.

Now look ...

Those prideful gurus despise having their contradictions exposed, and they usually "blame the messenger" and they quickly use anger, intimidation, and guilt-installation to manipulate and control.

By keeping to your regular kala, they remain completely impotent because their only power is what they can steal from you.

That's why doing a daily Ha Rite (pule) is so essential.

They look sort of Hawaiian because they sprinkle Hawaiian symbols around indiscriminately, including a number of powerful black magic symbols, mixed together with positive symbols, and they're openly experimenting with all of them together equally. They have inexperienced students meditating on what so many of our Elders would instantly recognize as being pure evil. They're even trying to use them for healing!

Understand ... this is definitely nothing new!

You can find exactly the same thing happening in every nation throughout history.

The "Kahuna Motto"

In the "House of Teave" they had a seal-of-secrecy to protect people from themselves ... from aspiring to things for which they were not prepared.

And there was clearly good reason for having a minimum of 20-years preparation required in the Ancient Traditions before a Kahu beginning to teach.

The initiate can only prepare to command through learning to obey!

Practically everyone who's ever written a book on spirituality comes from that very limited perspective ... enthusiastically sharing what they've learned of the spiritual realm long before they've gained proper experience and perspective.

Absolutely!

And the fact that you are "struggling" actually gives you a huge advantage over the long-time student.

We give everybody a chance to take a "free test drive" simply because we know they work ... in fact the process works 100% every time ... but you can't always tell if someone who orders them is going take the initiative to actually follow the instructions.

... some people are "information junkies," just gathering piles and piles of different esoteric products, looking for something "new and different" since the only "thrill" they get is in thinking they know something that makes them better than everybody else.

The Talker reads everything he can but will never get-off-his-butt and actually USE what he's learned because, deep down inside, he's afraid of failure.

In fact, out of the 5 or 6 people who have returned the program for a refund, NOT ONE of them bothered to DO the drills.

Not one.

Some people are "all talk" and no action.

And that's OK, because it takes a special person to take responsibility and you won't get any results until you're ready to take action for yourself!

But you have everything to gain!

I certainly didn't have any idea of the riches to come when I was struggling, but the blessings I received by communicating with my 'Aumakua and always learning to better understand that relationship.

As you're growing spiritually then your uhane (rational, conscious mind) will grow more and more capable of choosing the best thought-form to use.

Huna power principles: What is Huna all about?

That is a question I probably ask myself every single day.

I asked myself many times during the initiation experiences throughout my 40+ years learning Huna,* it's a question you've undoubtedly asked yourself, and so has everybody who's forged-on along the pathway of self-discovery to recognize Huna.

The language and mystical concepts are equally bewildering to the beginner.

So people ask, "What is Huna all about?"

After you've become familiar with the techniques and rituals, and you've learned something of the basic practices and their meanings for you, you might still discover that Huna as a whole ... apart from the mystery of any one part or detail ... can appear to be something almost too complex to grasp.

Even though you know Huna is simple and profound.

When you've become accustomed to the teachings of Huna and no longer have that first sense of "strangeness," you might occasionally or suddenly discover something totally new you've never known before ... perhaps something of the antiquity, the universality, or the profound power of Huna.

For all your familiarity with Huna, you may find yourself "in the dark" about Huna in its entirety.

What is Huna?

What can Huna do?

How did it come into being?

What are it's central and permanent teachings?

These questions eventually come to the mind of every student, no matter how indifferent one may be that the philosophy of Huna even exists.

When you learn Huna, you become heir to a rich tradition.

Books and classes provide access to something that was NOT put together in a day, and it will not profit you very much if you make no effort to acquire the at least a portion of the sacred entitlements you've inherited.

You must learn something of the history of Huna.

Reading alone cannot, and no classroom could, confer this modern knowledge and ancient wisdom in its entirety.

You must "strive" for yourself to make your own inexhaustible riches out of Huna. You must discover for yourself its higher purposes because you are the most valuable member of this world-wide Huna Ohana.

There is no "authorized" interpretation of Huna.

You will not find a ready-made Huna creed waiting for you or any ready-made explanation of our practices.

You must think-it-through for yourself.

You must feel-it-through for yourself.

You must see-it-through for yourself.

Huna is very simple.

It may not be "easy" going-it-all-alone. It is certainly not easy to do without guidance and assistance, and THAT is why the Huna Ohana is here for you.

Our "sacred family" is a world-wide gathering. Over the past 65 years it required untold sums of money and human effort to sustain and manage such a society. Now, with the blessing of 'Io and the world-wide-web, we are beginning a New Era for the Huna Research Associates.

Certified Huna Practitioner Mark Perkins is going to be combing-through the DVDs, making notes of and "capturing" clips that are the most powerful.

We'll post 'em ASAP.

The ones I remember really wanting are when I was explaining the functions of the "etheric body" ... as opposed to the Astral body ... in conjunction with the Five Elements and actually demonstrating the memory function by taking Paul's etheric body out ... so he couldn't remember anything, but right as soon as I put it back in he began remembering things ...

... it was beautiful, and a great example of putting theory into practice, and actually demonstrating for-the-eye the undeniable truth of Huna practice.

Look.

As you've probably noticed over-the-years, most people only "talk" about these concepts instead of actually showing them in real life.

This is science ... from the original institute of science and spirituality.

One other demonstration I remember wanting ... I think it was just a couple of minutes later .... is when Gerry "thought" he couldn't feel energy until we pointed out that he already WAS feeling it, and everyone else could easily see him feeling it.

Then, right as-soon-as his conscious mind "linked-up" to the unconscious perception, he "got it" and then quickly began discovering the old knee injuries and determining the relative severity of them ... all within just a few seconds.

I'm absolutely certain you're right!

'Io (or Kiho or Yhihvogh) was the sacred name of the "creator of all things" ... aka TGAOTU.

One noted Polynesian historian counted 27 different names for 'Io, including

'Io-ke-wanala or Kiho-te-wanaga ... "the source of all knowledge."
'Io-maka-wai or Kiho-mata-wai ... "'Io, the God of Love"

Another symbol of 'Io was the Hawk.

If you look through the message archives, you'll notice how often a hawk appears to people when they're getting specialized remote healing ...

... a hawk also "appeared" to almost everyone the night before the March training.

That's 'Io.

Here's a passage from one Ancient Initiation Ceremony (English Translation):

"See how the hawk flies so high in the sky.
From his perch in the sky, he can see
the clouds that brush against the mountain peaks and fall as rain.
He can see as the rain forms rivers, rough rapids, and cascading waterfalls,
and finally large rivers which flow into the great ocean.
So ... 'Io can see the stream of your life from beginning to end."

I got some of the symbolism posted earlier today under Kiho-tumu.

The Kumulipo is the Hawaiian creating chant ... telling the story "beginning in deep darkness."

... oooops, did I say "creating" ... must be a type-o, huh?

Or not.

Anyway.

One version goes ... (English trans.)

"Kiho dwelt within the breathing space of immensity. The universe was in darkness, with water everywhere. There was no glimmer of dawn, no clearness, no light. And He began by saying these words, that He might cease remaining inactive, 'Darkness, become a light-possessing darkness.' And at once light appeared."

How's THAT for packing a powerful-punch ...

... sounds kinda' familiar, but with some slight differences that are the most important thing to be paying attention to right now.

And THAT concept will become increasingly important as we proceed.

Now ... in Hawaiian, "darkness" does NOT refer to the silly, childish Western concept of "bad," but ... INSTEAD ... refers more to darkness in the "unconsciousness" sense of the word ... the "void" where-from-that-which-is-unknown-becomes-known kind of "darkness."

So ... there's lots more where that came from.

In Hawaiian it would be pronounced 'Io.

Got it?

It is very strong energy!

Example:

I simply took the color symbol and pasted it on my bathroom mirror ... that way I see it every morning first-thing-in-the morning.

... and I quickly, almost immediately felt charged-up-and-ready-to-take-on-the-day.

Pretty cool.

This symbol comes through the Kumulipo, and it has that "atomic" energy of the creation of the universe.

How's THAT for a "quick pick-me-up?"

... and there's no jittery after-effect :->

Real Overcoming

Aloha y'all,

A couple of years ago I put a type-o here on the Huna blog that put the entire Kame'ekua 'Ohana in a uproar.

"Oooops!"

The Inoa Kupuna is very significant in traditional Hawaiin clulture, and I accidentally listed mine as Kame'ekua when, as Pali quickly reminded me, it should be Paia-Kapela-

Willis.

I always think of Kame'ekua because of Makaweliweli in the great book, Tales from the Night Rainbow.

Anyway ... that was my mistake and I corrected it ASAP.

However, I am so glad I put the wrong name up because doing so also got me back in contact with Pali Jae Lee ..

... so we were able to Ho'oponopono just before she died

She and I ended up writing each other pretty regularly during her last couple of weeks on this plane.

Once again ... every cloud has a "silver lining!"

Every single one!

So you might want to seek-out the positive learning experience from life experiences ... even when it was probably NOT necessarily "fun" at the time!

Even among Huna practitioners ...

... because we're human.

We might face adversity from-time-to-time.

During the changing-of-the-millennium period we had a pretend "Dr. Waha 'Awa" who managed to frighten-off a bunch of people ...

... adversity also reveals people's true character.

So, even when you finally realize you have a serious "frienemy" ... keep in mind what Nietche said ...

"Was mich nicht umbringt,
macht mich starker."

Because every obstacle you overcome improves your skill-set.

That's real overcoming.

You might want to look for more quotes about overcoming adversity and the adversity qoutient

Dad and I grew that much closer back when the "fat guy" attempted a coupe de' etat.

As through all life lessons ... you grow that much stronger from all the valuable lessons you received.

We're now working with institutions like The University of Hawaii and The Library of Congress instead of the "pretenders" of the late 1990s.

It is very nice!

There's always something for you to look forward to.

So keep that in mind, and remember how powerful you really are!

There's more meaning than meets-the-eye in this common Hawaiian phrase which, properly pronounced, should hit the funny bone the way "forgettaboutit" does in "Donnie Brasco" or "Mickey Blue Eyes."

But, what of the esoteric meanings that may now be revealed?

There's more.

Practically everybody is familiar with "mahalo," meaning "thank you" ... even though the deeper meaning is so much more!

Mahalo has many deeper meaning important for your complete understaning.

What is Huna?

The Investigation of HUNA
and How It Really Came About

by Rev. James Vinson Wingo, DD

Many people mistakenly think Huna was the religion in Hawaii or the "teachings of the Ancient Hawaiian people," but Huna actually refers to the Metaphysical Theory developed by Max Freedom Long, along with a number of respected Kahunas, which was primarily based on the Ancient Hawaiian Psychological, Religious, and Philosophical traditions of the Kahuna.

Huna does not refer to any specific practice ... like Hoomana, Hooponopono, Hula, Chanting, or Lomi Lomi ... but instead refers to the underlying assumptions upon which these individual Hawaiian practices are based.

In fact, over 2600 separate Hawaiian systems have been discovered and researched. And, even though they differ from island to island, from village to village, from clan to clan, from family to family, and from individual to individual, there are certain key principles upon which they do agree.

It is these most fundamental and universal principles, upon which all traditional Hawaiian Healing methodologies are based, that comprise Huna.

Huna may be called a philosophy or a system of psychology because it contains elements of philosophy, science, and religion.

During the last century investigations were made into native magic in Africa, India and other parts of the world. Spiritualistic phenomena have been certified as genuine and studied by recognized scientists. Spiritual and psychic phenomena have been generally verified and are gaining wider acceptance in the Western World.

But there was never any definite basic system, philosophy, theory, or psychological-religious science which would explain, even in the most general terms, the phenomena of the various fields until the publication of Recovering the Ancient Magic by Max Freedom Long.

He gave this general theory the name Huna.

Around 1880, in Hawaii, an investigation began which, after seventy years of research, produced a general theory that promises to provide answers for a host of puzzling questions.

This investigation was begun by Dr. William Tufts Brigham, long-time curator of the Bishop Museum in Honolulu.

In Hawaii there were, up to about 1900, many Kahunas, or native priests, who, although outlawed, worked among their fellow Hawaiians as healers or practitioners of the dreaded "death prayers." Some fire-walked over lava flows, a few demonstrated instant healing, and the young Dr. Brigham was fortunate enough to observe and study a case in which a boy, dead from drowning for sixteen hours, was brought back to life through a use of "native magic. "

Dr. Brigham came to the conclusion that, behind these and similar activities, there must be a single basic scientific system which explained all such "magical" phenomena.

He postulated ...

1. There must be some form or entity or consciousness which the Kahunas were able to contact through ceremony or prayer.

2. This "unidentified consciousness" could use an unidentified force or energy in such a way as to control temperature in fire-walking or make the changes in physical matter necessary to produce instant healing.

These conclusions pointed inevitably to a system of Metaphysics, so it was necessary to include research into the Psychic Sciences because this secret and mysterious system found working magic in Hawaii was not a matter of empty words and theorizing because it clearly worked.

In due time it was possible to explain a part of the basic theory and its methods of application. Because of the major contribution made by Hawaiian Kahuna ("keepers of the secret") preserving and maintaining these ancient practices, Max Freedom Long gave this new theory the name Huna.

Max continued doing research along with the Huna Research Associates until his death in 1971, when he bequeathed the organization to Dr. E. Otha Wingo, then professor at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, where the Huna Research Associates are continuing the coordination of teaching, research, and practice of Huna today.

So why the confusion?

In the mid-1960's some authors, recognizing the popularity of Max Freedom Long's Huna, began promoting themselves as Kahuna. Other people began promoting a variety of Hawaiian and pseudo-Hawaiian belief systems by saying they were "the real huna" even though the word previously referred only to Max's work.

This trend is still going on today, but everyone using the word Huna got it from studying Max Freedom Long.

His most popular book was The Secret Science Behind Miracles, which is totally incomplete because he wrote it long before establishing the Huna Research Associates. They've always applied.

... the only "mix-up" happens because one author gave Blavadsky's 7 principles Hawaiian names in his books published by the Theosophical Society.

Blavadsky was looking for universal principles common to all religions when she came up with them.

I'd also recommend reading all of A. E. Powell's works on Theosophy to get an even better understanding of how Huna explains and expands upon the several religious systems of India synthesized by the Theosophical Society early in the last Century.

Theosophy stresses the necessity of "masters" outside of yourself ... but with Huna, the only "master" you need comes through your ability to contact your Aumakua.

And that's why Yates thought it was important to recognize the difference between Blavatsky's 7 principles and Huna ...

... because inexperienced people ... "newbies" ... might get the impression the 7 principles are Huna.

That's why it's so important to do your research and check everything out for yourself!

Then, like you've said, by knowing Huna as you do, the 7 principles can effectively be used as guidelines.

I know I am a different person since the Huna convention in March 2010. Really glad I attended. Went back to work and still to this day, I have coworkers coming up to me and asking me what I did different to myself. I look different and act differently, in a superfantastic way. I told them, I am the new and improved Shelly. They all love it. I know I am on top of the world. Everything is possible for me to create and make happen.

2010 Huna Practitioner Training

First time posting here.

I just came back from the March 2010 training last week.

I wanted to say big thanks to Vince and everyone else for the wonderful event.

Prior to the event, I was trying to study Huna from the books alone. I was not having much success.

In the class, one of the first things I learned was proper breathing. There, I found out I was doing it all wrong. There's a huge difference between learning from books and learning from someone first hand .

Before the event, it was like I was trying to learn how to drive a car from books. Needless to say, it is a lot easier and faster to get a proper training from someone who really knows the stuff.

Besides that, I simply learned so many powerful techniques, that I'm still going through the notes and trying to organize what I've learned. I'll probably spend the next several months practicing each.

I highly recommend it to anyone interested in Huna.

Which plane is that specifically, and how are they measuring it?

Any changes you make ... imaginings that take you down, through, in, etc. helps in accessing theta brainwaves.

So "going to the Creator" would emphasize theta brainwaves, even though there's really no such thing as "going to theta."

You don't "go" to a brainwave frequency because Beta, Alpha, Theta, and Delta are referring to electric impulses your brain is emitting ... like a radio broadcast.

They can be picked up by an EEG ... in fact, that's how you get mind-to-mind communication, because brainwaves are broadcast ...

... just like radio.

It really does matter.

ALL of your brainwave frequenies have value, and no one is "better" than any other, even though Alpha is relatively more important for "bridging the gap" between Beta and Theta.

... in fact, one Master Key to brainwave training is learning to master your Beta brainwaves.

Instead of "going to Alpha" or "going to Theta" you're really entering at will the state of consciousness that is most effective for any given purpose.

There were 5,000 manuscripts of the Gospels and none were written before the 4th century AD. Gospels were selected from the many versions available and the rest were rejected as inauthentic.

Constantine made a death bed conversion to Christianity. He worshipped Sol Invictus, The Invincible Sun. This is the religion that he imposed on the Roman Empire.

May 20, 325 Council of Nicea. Jeshua was voted to be a divine being. The vote was 218 – 2. Previously, Jeshua lost the vote. All voting against his godhead were ejected from the council and they voted again, this time enthroning Jeshua as a god.

Originally, Christians meant the "Good People".

Jesus was known as the Nazarene and a village of Nazareth was invented so that the word could mean that Jesus was from this village.

The earliest figure of Jesus was the one in which he was holding a lamb. It wasn't until 680 AD that this figure was changed to a man hanging on a cross.

Katherine Emerich was a German nun in the 1800's who had visions describing the crucifixion of this so called Christ. It was this rendition of the story upon which Mel Gibson's movie was based. Prior to this movie, the church refused to beautify Katherine Emerich as they could not ascertain whose visions these were, the woman or her chronicler. Since the movie, the political situation has been such that she has been approved for beatification, with the ceremony to be held on October 3, 2004, which is the last step before sanctification as a saint.

LITERAL READING OF THE TESTAMENTS REVEALS

The Resurrection is best understood as a drama of initiation. If translated as a ritual, we will find much truth in this.

The "Hurtless Life" is indicated by the phrase "take up your cross and follow". Keep the path open for the high self and send it Mana. In Huna the resurrection is to open the path anew.

Only the lesser man is indicated in the word "son". Give us back the loving father, the high self mother-father of Huna.

Functions of the Unconscious Mind:
The unconscious mind stores, organizes, represses unresolved energies, presents memories to conscious mind, runs and preserves the physical body and is the Gateway to Spirit.

If one still has negative emotions about something, then one has not as yet gained the lesson from the experience. The negative emotion is a sore spot that must be addressed.

The unconscious mind is the UNIHIPILI. It is the place of unformed thought forms which attach to the beings of higher light whether negative or positive through AKA Cords.

Energy flows from higher to lower in the sense that of higher concentrations of energy to lower concentrations of energy. Thus, when one builds up Mana in the Unihipili, the higher concentration of energy there can then be easily transmitted to the Aumakua easily.

One method of supporting one's conscious and super conscious minds (Uhane and Aumakua) is to ask the lower conscious mind (Unihipili) if it supports one's magnificence and connectedness to higher self.

One can also support oneself by correcting past negativities with others. Connect through lower consciousness and say: "I forgive you, do you forgive me?"

NEGATIVE ASSOCIATIONS

Associations that are negative and deleterious to one's being may be broken by requesting the assistance of Michael, the Archangel, Defender in Battle.

One can imagine healing guides in the 4 quadrants, rotating at the speed of light above the head. There is a hole in the center of this rotational circle which allows the circle of light to pass down

Of greatest significance to me was the fact that tragedy encouraged a people to insulate and consolidate such that their traditions remained intact. Losing Contact With The Higher Self

Contact with the higher self is the first aim of our existence. Some people are born with it and know it while others born with it don't know that they have it. The rest of us have to work at it.

In Faust II, Goethe said that "We will redeem him, whoever has tried hard and strong". The redemption is contact with the higher self.

Jesus said that you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven unless reborn. This is a reference to contact with the higher self.

If the rain of blessings doesn't come, then someone may be hurt by the prayer request. The prayer request must then be changed. One must be careful before sending the prayer so as not to hurt anyone.

Consciousness writes the lines. Ask the unconsciousness to choose a symbol or picture and then send the picture with mana up the AKA cord.

The connection between the higher self and the lower self can be broken by the inability of the Uhane to produce mana to send to the unconsciousness. The production of mana must not be interrupted.

The production of mana is based on the digestive process. It is formed in the abdominal area.

The production of mana and the connection to the lower self and then the higher self can be hindered by pain and by pain killers, as well as by antibiotics.

During illness the middle self was not able to feel the high self. Are there medicines that don't hinder the connection? What is the effect of natural medicines, homeopathic agents and Bach Flower Remedies? These must be reviewed by experiential analysis.

LOVE YOUR ENEMIES

The words of Yeshua must be explained through the Huna Way. Huna practitioners cannot have enemies. Give your tormentor love and mana. Matthew 5:44

Pray as if you have received it. The target of he who gives love is clear as the receiver can only respond with love and thus the giver is blessed.

The subconscious is always stronger than the conscious self (the Will) said Emile Coue. Send love to living, spiritual and dark entities. Send AKA cords to those you want to effect and love.

Address the Unihipili: "George, please send love to the loved one, to the enemy and to the good spirit." Send energy to vitalize and revitalize the AKA cord. Wrap the gift thought in red and tie it with a gold cord.

Kala or cleansing is important before contact with high self. Unihipili accepts this forgiveness and love without criticism.

The integration of these is the masculine and feminine. They really never touch; but exchange energy synergistically.

Joe Craig explains that they are expressions of metaphors. More specifically symbols are pictorial metaphors.

According to Edgar Cayce, a cult is a wisdom or philosophy that went underground to protect people. The knowledge was preserved in prophecy, religious writings, storytelling, mythology, oral traditions, stone monuments, etc.

The religions that took the place of the old wisdoms teach that we are separate from nature and that we have to conquer nature, that it is our god given duty to do so. These philosophies have created all of our problems on earth.

Some of the evidence that we have been visited or come from and have had far greater knowledge than we do now is in our stone monuments.

These stone monuments date way beyond excepted time parameters. The weathering on the body of the sphinx is due to water about 10,000 BC. The portion not weathered is the head which has been continually exposed to the elements. The head is not in proportion to the body. It is much smaller.

The pyramids on the plateau of Giza have never fallen down. There are no paintings inside the pyramids and they were not used for burial.

100 feet below the sphinx is a room for what is presumed to be initiatory purposes. The Japanese found the room by sonar and then they were denied study as this opposes the historical perspectives as to what the sphinx is.

Excellent question.

And the real question for me is "how do you test it?"

... and I don't yet know.

The important thing is people DO have "past-life memories" which, when cleared, make a huge improvement in their lives.

So you want to work within your unihipili's belief system.

It's that simple.

So you do what works.

There is no definitive evidence for reincarnation.

I published a paper called "Recycling: A New Theory of Reincarnaton" when I was going for my Master's Degree.

Here's the basic idea ...

We know that every single cell does have "cellular memory" ... and it's obvious that the cells in your body came from "somewhere" ...

... your mother's body at birth ... your DNA ... the food you ear ... the air you breath, etc.

And the odds are that the molecules which make up your current body once made-up another persons body.

That's "recycling!"

So it is possible that some of the memories attached to those molecules could pop-up as if they were your own.

... and it more likely.

Occam's Razor.

The Theory of Reincarnation is a belief system that developed to explain the phenomenon of people remembering things from the lives of deceased persons.

It's a strange phenomenon, deserving an explanation.

But, does a person "reincarnate" ... in toto ... from-lifetime-to-lifetime?

... I can't give an athoratative answer.

But, no one can.

If anyone says they do know, for sure, then run away quickly!

How totally appropriate you allude to collectivism!

The New Age Myth that "native" people didn't charge anything for their services is leading many astray.

... but THAT was probably why the Christian Missionaries imposed the "do not charge" concept on the "natives" they sought to convert.

And ... simply put, the extent to which they accepted this new idea and added the "do not charge" rule to their revised traditions is the extent to which these Native Spiritual Traditions have been wasting away.

This belief ... so unjustly imposed and almost universally reinforced in societies ... does have its roots in collectivism.

It's supposed to make you sound "more spiritual" ...

... but again, it's only "spiritual" in the Evangelical Christian plan.

The reason you never found people condemning money in any spiritual tradition until after the culture gets polluted is because healing is all about exchanging energy.

If there's no exchange, then you stop the flow.

... healing requires flowing naturally!

We know that everything is energy, so there's no way to "damn" money and bless everything else ...

... not without hypocrisy.

As the Bible says, "The verdict you pronounce upon the source of your livelihood is the verdict you pronounce upon your life. If the source is corrupt, you have damned your own existence."

Think about it ...

... the universe is completely based on energy in its various forms being exchanged in various ways.

It's the natural flow of things.

Money and gifts are just forms of energy!

In fact, money is the root of all good.

Money is your means of survival.

... if you haven't figured that out yet, then offer your Electric Company "sincere appreciation."

See how long the lights stay on that way!

Go and read Ewald's post on this topic and then meditate upon some other great quotes from Francisco d'Anconia ...

So getting back to the original, pre-Christian concept of insisting upon fair exchange for the expertise of the Kahuna, we respect our heritage.

What is preventing you?

How's that if there's no contract?

I know there are laws on the books in plenty of cities that pretend to "protect renters" and all they do is destroy landlords.

So both of these issues require some sound legal advice from an attorney familiar with and practicing in your area.

Yes, we're spiritual beings having a physical experience, and that means sometimes you have to take regular 'ol practical action right here on the physical plane.

So what is living a spiritual solution?

Yes you do, and there are some nuts-n-bolts things you're going to have to take care of ...

... but FIRST ... you can make everything "so much easier" if you set-it-up-in-advance on the spiritual level.

Start by doing the I'o process with these people.

Here's why.

Remember you have a friend ... an Utterly Trustworthy Parental Spirit ... with resources and perspectives far beyond your left-brained thinking.

Your High Self.

Your High Self loves you, and wants you to be happy.

Your left-brain, conscious, uhane mind is there for a purpose and it is an essential part of you ...

... so here's one way to think-things-differently!

When creating the Thought-Form for your Ha Rite, you want to "go to the end of the process" instead of planning "how to get there."

Because your High Self will guide you there once you tell it exactly what you really want!

So ...

... start thinking about how you want your life to BE.

You've already though about how to get there, so go ahead and set that sort of thinking aside and do this:

Describe your ideal situation ... your lifestyle ... what you'll be doing ... how you'll feel ... etc. AFTER your High Self has stepped-in and given everything you've always wanted.

Focus on that.

The kahuna recognized the magnetic, attracting force, and the opposite, repelling nature of vital force or mana. Both polarities are present in all such energies. The kahuna symbol for this force was water.

Mana is taken from the food and air by the inner, basic self and is stored in its aka-body, but it is shared with the Middle Self and with the High Self.

The mana, when used as the life force of the Middle Self, is changed in some subtle way. The kahuna of old symbolized this as a dividing of the basic Mana into two kinds and called it Mana-Mana. Doubling the word indicates that the Mana is doubled in its power, so that it can be used by the Middle Self to command and control the Low or Basic Self. This is the force we know vaguely in modern psychology as "the will."� It is also the force which should at all times be strong enough to make the Low Self carry out every suggestion. It is seldom used in its full strength, and so the inner self gets out of hand or flits from one activity to another, without carrying out any suggestion or command fully.

Hello, Vince and Ohana!

Just got back from the Society for Shamanic Practitioners conference where I introduced (and re-introduced) a group of the Society members to Ho'oponopono.

I led a 4-hour workshop that outlined the Hawaiian spiritual concepts (3-selves, kahuna, aka, etc.) and the Ho'oponopono process then mapped these concepts to their shamanic world-view (not all that different...just different words.) We then selected a situation that one of the members presented to the group as the focus of the process.

The group did a shamanic journey to view the situation prior to Ho'oponopono, afterwhich I guided the group through the process having them repeat the process word-for-word from Morrnah's manual. The group then again journeyed to the situation and reported back the pre- and post Ho'oponopono information they received.

Wow!

They were blown away!

One of the journeys saw the pre-Ho'oponopono scene with the people involed competely trapped by a negative energy. Afterward, the negative energy had completely vanished and the people were dancing and playing (this included the "antagonists" that were included in the process.) All of the group witnessed the marked improvement that Ho'oponopono facilitated.

I specifically used the term "re-introduced" as one of the group had studied with Morrnah back in the ealy 70's. She was there to re-learn and refresh here knowledge, however, she had not previously used shamanic work to see the changes. She, too, was blown away.

I want to offer my heart fealt thanks to Morrnah and to Vince for re-introducing this amazing process. Use it...it works!

Secrets of the Ha Rite "prayer-action"

This excerpt is from Dad's 12-week Huna Course #5 ... and, even after reading it 30 years ago ... it's still just as important today!

Dear Huna Student:

What we generally call "prayer" has taken on "religious" connotations which are so strongly established that it is difficult to examine its intrinsic meaning ("an earnest request"). This word has been used a number of times already in these lessons. The expression "Prayer-Action" is closer to our meaning here. In the Hawaiian language, there are two significant words for prayer:

v (1) wai-pa, meaning literally "to divide water." Water is the Huna symbol for mana or vital force and thus prayer refers to the use of mana in the various functions of the three selves.

v (2) pule, meaning "to send forth" thought-forms to the High Self via the flow of mana along the aka cord.

So, when I speak of "prayer" or Prayer-Action, I am referring to a carefully worked out blueprint for what we wish to be built into our lives, together with the appropriate implementation of that design. The Huna principles which are taught in these lessons are easy to grasp. They are much like those with which we are familiar in the older and newer religions and psychologies which are current at this time. What we are doing is working out in more detail what makes an effective "prayer" or Prayer-Action to a Higher Intelligence. Here is the necessary procedure:

l. THE PREPARATION FOR THE ACT OF "PRAYER." Careful consideration must be given to the NEW CONDITIONS, which we wish brought about. In Huna, the Prayer-Action is not made for the momentary need alone, but for the needs of all the life ahead. Instead of drifting, we take as much time as is needed, and make up our minds, insofar as it is possible, EXACTLY what we wish the future to hold for us. Isn't it strange how few public "prayers" in modern churches have any thought or preparation back of them? In fact, it seems that a prepared prayer is held under suspicion. You can ask for health, happiness, and prosperity, including specifics -- but YOU MUST NOT forget to include service to others. There is much that is helpful in the ideals of the kahunas.

"The kahuna taught that there was an ideal condition to which the individual might aspire. It was a condition in which the aid and guidance of the High Self was requested, received, and then acted upon. The one rule o f life that must be obeyed was that we should do nothing to hurt another unjustly. For those more advanced, the rule included loving service. Love can unite men and enable them to do great works for the good of all. Hate and fear can unite men only f or war and destruction.�

(The Secret Science Behind Miracles, p. 188)

The principle is that we must decide on our future, then plan it in as much detail as we can, after which we set about taking the next step, that of bringing the desired condition into reality.

Max Freedom Long gives a very instructive example of how this is done, drawing on his own experience. Because of its length, this account will be given in its entirety in a postscript to this letter.

2. The second step is to build a complete set of thought-forms of the new future, through visualization and with the use of a physical stimulus to impress the subconscious Low Self.

3. The third step is to accumulate a sufficient supply of Mana o r vital force (as practiced in the preceding lesson) to send the newly created thought-forms along the invisible aka thread of connection to the High Self.

4. The fourth step is the follow-up in which we DAILY review and strengthen the visualized future embodied in our thought-forms, and DAILY present them anew with a fresh supply of vital force to be used by the High Self to do what the kahuna symbolized as "growing the seeds (thought-forms) by sprinkling them with water (Mana) until they bear fruit as actual conditions as the future becomes the present."�

5. As a part of the work of taking these steps successfully, you will learn of the necessity of removing any blocks caused by such things as guilt feelings and fix ations (fixed ideas held by the Low Self).

What's new about all this? The reaction sometimes is that so much "sounds familiar" -- this may be because you recognize the truth of these principles, or because they are simple concepts, perhaps put into perspective for the first time. Perhaps an outline of some of the approaches of Huna that differ from others would be helpful at this point:

· l. The long-term scope of the Prayer-Action and the more careful preparation is new.

· 2. The use of visualization may be familiar to some extent, but its use to create consciously a set of thought-forms to act as molds for the materialization of desired future events is new in perspective.

· 3. The request to the High Self, asking that the thought-forms be used to create for us a new and more desirable future is new.

· 4. The accumulation of extra Mana or vital force and the sending of it to the High Self to be used in the creation of the desired future is new.

· 5. The invisible aka thread that connects us with the High Self is new, although there is a hint of it in the Biblical reference to the "silver cord."�

· 6. The use of a flow of Mana to carry the thought-forms telepathically to the High Self is new and of greatest importance.

· 7. The fact that the aka thread runs between the aka or shadowy body of the Low Self and the High Self, and that it is the ONE AND ONLY means of contact between the inner Self and the High Self, is not only new, but revolutionary in the psychological-religious thinking of this century. It gives us, at last, an explanation of WHY the usual vocal prayer made by the conscious mind or Middle Self gets no answer -- the Low Self is not brought into the action and the telepathic sending of the prayer is missing, to say nothing of supplying the needed vital force to be used by the High Self or paying attention to the removing of blocks to this telepathic communication.
